Nii Dodoo Ke Naa Densua Weku Family Insures Members

The Nii Dodoo Ke Nana Densua Weku Family in the Greater Accra Region has initiated an Insurance Policy for members of the family to protect them from financial hardship if the unexpected happens.

The family who has signed the Insurance Policy with GLICO Insurance Company said the decision to do so was to help members of the family meet the needs of uncertainties.

At a short ceremony held by the family to present claims to some two family members who are suffering heart problems and motor accidents, GLICO presented an amount of GHC825 and GHC5000 to the member who had motor accidents and the one with heart problem respectively.

Speaking in an interview with the Head of family Nii Masope Crabbe, he averred that the policy has gone a long way to helping the family.

He said, every family depends on financial support to enjoy a decent standard of living, which is why insurance is especially important once you start a family.

“It means the people who matter most in your life may be protected. It also Reduces stress during difficult times because none of us know what lies around the corner. Unforeseen tragedies such as illness, injury or permanent disability, even death – can leave you and your family facing tremendous emotional stress, and even grief. With insurance in place, you or your family’s financial stress will be reduced, and you can focus on recovery and rebuilding your lives,” he said.

He also indicated that, no matter what one’s financial position is today, an unexpected event can see it all unravel very quickly, hence insurance offers a payout so that if there is an unforeseen event you and your family can hopefully continue to move forward.

He also said they want to give their members peace of mind since no amount of money can replace the health and wellbeing “But you can at least have peace of mind knowing that if anything happened to you, your family’s financial security is assisted by insurance.”

He urged other families to emulate what they are doing with insurance so that they can also secure their members.
