The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, has congratulated the Queen-mother of the Mampong Traditional Authority,  Nana Agyakoma Dufie II, on her appointment as a Membe of the Board of the National Peace Council (NPC). 
 
Nana Agyakoma Dufie's appointment was contained in a letter dated September 15, 2020, and signed by the Secretary to the President,  Nana Asante Bediatuo.
 
Her appointment takes a retrospective effect from June 1, 2020.
 
The Ashanti Regional Chairman,  in his commendation, expressed his joy at the appointment, describing it as a perfect choice.
 
"I know Nana Agyakoma Dufie II very well as a person of peace and dignity. I trust that she will execute her role as diligently and effectively " Chairman Wontumi noted. 
 
According to the NPP Regional Chairman,  the president could not have made any better choice,  adding that the Amaniampong Stool, which Nana Agyakoma Dufie II occupies as the Queen-mother is a dignified and respected one in the Asante Traditional echelon.
