Amidu's Agyapa Deal Assessment A Gimmick To Exonerate Akufo-Addo's Cronies - Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says he has reasons to believe that the corruption risk assessment report on the Agyapa deal done by the Special Prosecutor is a gimmick meant to exonerate the Akufo-Addo-led government of corruption.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo government is good at pretending to be fighting against something they are involved deeply in so as to clear their members who are neck-deep in the scandal and also create the impression in the minds of the public about the effort of the government to fight evil.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, the NDC Chief Scribe said that the inclusion of the Airbus Scandal in the Agyapa deal corruption risk assessment clearly shows that Martin Amidu has no plans to find the culprit in the canker.

He cited the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence as a case study, claiming that the Akufo-Addo government deliberately set up the Commission of Enquiry to whitewash and set free all those who were fingered in the violence.

“I believe that this investigation of the Special Prosecutor is meant to deceive the public that the government is doing something to fight corruption in the Agyapa deal as the Minority and some CSOs have highlighted . . . ” he asserted.
