NPP Global Medical Team Embarks On Medical Outreach Program For The Deprived

The NPP Global Medical Team in collaboration with the NPP USA has embarked on a free medical outreach program for the less privileged ones in some towns in the Northern part of the country.

The program saw the screening and treatment of several health conditions of the people which they have either not paid attention to or do not have the means to address. Apart from that, the people were given education on the need for regular checkups and good hygiene practice.

The program which was under the sponsorship of the NPP USA gave the NPP global medical team an opportunity to interact with the people and also provide them with free medical assistance as well as education on some health and hygienic issues.

Some of the towns visited include Tamale, Navrongo and Paga. Speaking on the sidelines of the program, one of the organizers of the NPP USA, Emmanuel Yaw Mensah explained the rationale behind the medical outreach program in the Northern part of the country.

The leader of the NPP global medical team, Dr. Stephen Kofi Amankwah stated some of the health conditions which came up during the screening exercise and advised the people to try their best and visit the hospital once in a while for medical check-up and also ensure that, they practice good hygiene to curtail some of the diseases which come about as a result of poor hygienic environment.

The head of operations of the NPP global medical team, Fred Okyere pointed out clearly that, the people were equally attended to, no matter their political affiliations since their primary objective as professionals was to ensure that, the people get solutions to their health problems.

The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Chiana Paga constituency, Robert Aluabejina indicated that, getting medical services in the area is very difficult due to the limited medical officers and that, the support from the NPP global medical team and NPP USA is very significant.
