Charles Owusu Consoles The Rawlings' Family

Head of Operations at the Forestry Commission, Charles Owusu has extended his condolences to the family of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings was the first President under the Fourth Republic of Ghana and ruled for 19 years.

He passed on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

He died at the age of 73 and left behind his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and four children.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Charles Owusu commiserated with the deceased family saying, "they are most pained. Those of us not so close can console them but won't feel the pains as much as the family and staff that worked for him do."

He also advised the nation's leaders and all Ghanaians to review their lives and stop treating their fellow humans inhumanely.

According to him, the death of the former President means no one is immortal and that every human will pass away one day, hence it is best to live a peaceful life worthy of emulation.
