NDC Opens Book Of Condolence To Mourn JJ Rawlings At Party Headquarters

The leadership of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday, November 13, 2020, opened a book of condolence at the party’s national headquarters, regional and constituency offices to mourn the founder Jerry John Rawlings, former President of the Republic of Ghana.

At a meeting of the Political Committee of the party on Friday morning, the leaders reaffirmed the party’s commitment to celebrating the life of their party founder, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

In a press release signed by the party’s General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia and copied to Peacefmonline.com indicates that the party offices across the country will be draped in red and black and the party flags will fly at half-mast during their period of mourning.

The release also stated that a vigil will be held in Accra at the Obra Spot on Sunday from 5 pm till midnight.

The leadership has decided that the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) funeral activities for the founder will begin immediately and continue through till his burial.
