Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings Celebrates 72nd Birthday Without Husband
Today would have been a day of celebration for the Rawlings family as Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings turns 72-years in style.
The former First Lady turns 72 today but the passing of her husband Jerry John Rawlings has numbed all the joy birthdays bring.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, was born on the November 17, 1948, to the late J.O.T. Agyeman and his wife. She schooled at Achimota School, where she met her future husband Jerry John Rawlings.
She got married to her sweetheart, Jerry John Rawlings an Air force Officer, in 1977. The two love birds gave birth to their first child Ezenator Rawlings in 1978. Two other daughters, Yaa Asantewaa and Amina and a son, Kimathi followed later.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was the First Lady of Ghana from 4 June 1979 to 24 September 1979 and 31 December 1981 to 7 January 2001, under President Jerry John Rawlings and born on November 17, 1948.
She formed her own party, National Democratic Party and contested in the2016 elections.
