Kate's Diamond & Sapphire Band Pips Meghan's Trilogy Jewel To The Top Spot In Poll To Find World's Most Popular Engagement Ring
Kate Middleton's blue sapphire and diamond ring has been voted the world's most popular engagement band with her sister-in-law Meghan Markle following in second place with her diamond trilogy ring.
The royal pair topped the poll of 2,000 adults with the Duchess of Cambridge's sparkler - previously worn by her late mother-in-law Princess Diana - taking the the top spot with a fifth of the vote.
The 12-carat oval sapphire is surrounded by 14 natural diamonds and set on an 18k white gold band.
