Choose Development Over Retrogression By Voting Number One On Dec. 7 - Veep Urges Voters

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has intensified his campaign in the north, urging voters to choose development by voting number one on the ballot.

Dr. Bawumia, who is on campaign tour of the North East Region, told the electorate that choosing number one on the ballot paper was a crucial choice to propel the country's forward march to development.

"Next week, Inshaa Allah, you have an opportunity to make a choice between development and retrogression. Number one, which has Nana Akufo-Addo and all our parliamentary candidates, represent development and progress.

"Any other choice represents retrogression and taking the country back so don't look beyond number one next week," he said.

Dr. Bawumia reminded the electorate about the myriad of problems the country faced under the John-Mahama-led administration prior to the 2016 elections, and how President Akufo-Addo had brought meaningful policies, which were impacting positively on lives and livelihoods.

The Vice President said apart from the Akufo-Addo government's prudent management of the economy, the Akufo-Addo's government had introduced life-changing policies such as Planting for Food and Jobs, One District One Constituency, One Constituency One Ambulance, NABCO, Free SHS.

With the harmattan season approaching in the north, Dr. Bawumia said, the government's One-Village, One-Dam policy would be useful to farmers in the north during the dry season, and urged voters to vote massively for the NPP to protect those legacies.

"In four years, you have seen the difference between our government, the government of the NPP and the NDC.

"Vote number one, for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP MPs to protect all these great policies impacting positively on many people's lives."
