Mike Oquaye Jnr, Oppong Nkrumah Shake Dome Kwabenya

Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, Mike Oquaye Jnr, and Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, have asked the people of Dome Kwabenya constituency to vote massively for the ruling New Patriotic Patriotic Party in the upcoming December 7 general elections.

According to them, voting for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and MP for the area Sarah Adwoa Safo means progress and development for the country and the constituency as well.

Speaking to party faithfuls and the general public present there, High Commissioner Oquaye Jnr entreated the people of Dome Kwabenya to vote massively for the NPP come December 7 for more progress.

“Lets us all be united going into the 2020 general election. Don’t vote for an independent candidate, no skirt and blouse because the elephant is great under one umbrella.

Stressing he stated that "I have come to this political event purposely to campaign for Nana Addo and Adwoa Safo and therefore we must all get involved to do a glorious work for ourselves especially, for us to get a landslide and a resounding victory for the Great Elephant, we must be each other’s keeper.

We must unite with one and another, we must forget the past and move on for the sake of our Party and Ghanaians. We need to put back behind us our grievances if any, and focus mainly of canvassing votes for the NPP and that is the way to go. Ghanaians will not forgive us if we do not maximize our votes to show the NDC we are in charge. We have delivered to Ghanaians numerous and accomplished physical developments such as 1D1F, Planting for Food and Jobs, Rearing for Food and Jobs, Nation Builders’ Corps, 1 Ambulance 1 Constituency, 1 Village 1 Dam, Free SHS, COVID-19 support for Ghanaian businesses, 1 Million United States Dollars 1 Constituency, Restored Teacher/Nursing Trainee Allowance, Year of Road Construction etc. We have delivered on our contractual mandate we had with Ghanaians in 2016 in our manifesto and there is the need for a continuation for progression in this country. I take this opportunity to inform all that on the day of voting, we must all go all out there and bring out those who have not yet voted to come and cast their votes for the NPP.’ He stated.

Still addressing the gathering, the Minister for Information Hon. Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah was enthused by the huge crowd gathered at the event and was optimistic that the good people of Taifa will not let the Party down in terms of huge votes.

"I am convinced of today’s crowd and the warm welcome you have given us. This shows that Taifa, the strongest hold for NPP in Dome Kwabenya would give us a huge chunk of votes and I know that your targeted valid votes which is 120,000 will be achieved’. He added. ‘. Nana nie, Adwoa Nie’.
