"Say No To Apathy, Skirt And Blouse, And Independent Candidates"- CODPA

The Coalition of Disqualified Patriots (CODPA) has urged electorates to say no to Apathy, Skirt and Blouse, and independent candidates to avoid spilt of votes for H.E Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidates come December 7th, election.

The Coalition of Disqualified Patriots(CODPA) is a group of NPP parliamentary aspirants who were disqualified from contesting in the party's June 2020 parliamentary primaries and have turned their energies into campaigning against what has come to be known as skirt and blouse in politics in constituencies with independent candidates.

The group also rigorously campaigns against apathy whilst encouraging voters, in general, to be mindful of the unprecedented achievement of H.E Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP led government and hand them a well deserved second term to do more.

"The group found itself in a unique position due to the common history we share with most of the independent candidates following our disqualification from contesting in the party's primaries. The group thus finds itself in a position to talk to independent candidates to abandon their bids in the supreme interest of the party and also in a credible position to correct the vile propaganda of those who insist on going independent".

Addressing a press conference on behalf of the group in Accra, on Thursday 3rd, December 2020, Deputy Secretary of CODPA, Mrs. Emelia Konadu indicated that, CODPA has toured several constituencies and met with identifiable groups and traditional leaders to expose certain misinformation cooked in the dilapidating Kitchen of independent candidates and served on their vile plate of propaganda.

Highlighting on some activities of the group, She said, " meeting traditional leaders at a durbar of chiefs in Assin South constituency to remedy misinformation deliberately put out by the independent candidate in that constituency to enhance the chance of winning the seat.

Interactions with electorates in Sunyani West Constituency to advise on the need to vote massively for the party's candidate and ignore the independent candidate.

Donations by the members in their respective constituencies: Abirem Constituency, Takoradi Constituency, Gomoa East Constituency, Fanteakwa North Constituency, Atiwa East Constituency, Atiwa West Constituency, Tano North Constituency, etc", she started.

Emphasizing that, the activities of the group have solely been financed by members of the coalition.

According to the group, per the tremendous work done by President Nana Akufo Addo, he deserves massive endorsement of all.

"Ghana's module is unmatched, let's not forget Free SHS, 1D1F, NABCO, Bringing Dumsor to an end, Free School Uniforms, Free Textbooks, Free-Feeding, Free Calculators and the quality leadership shown in crisis and emergency, the president's stellar handling of the COVID-19 pandemic should convince all that this is the leader we can entrust this country too, at least for another four years", Mrs. Emelia Konadu said.
