John Mahama To Be Declared Prez Today – NDC Assures Supporters

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia is confident of the opposition party's chances of annexing both the presidential seat and parliamentary majority in the just-ended elections per the results available to them.

He accused the Electoral Commission of deliberately keeping to its chest the certified results of some constituencies, but strongly projected that the party's candidate John Dramani Mahama will win the presidential polls.

“By Wednesday John Dramani would have been declared as the president of the Republic of Ghana,” Mr. Nketia told party supporters at a press conference at the NDC headquarters in Accra.

He also charged party supporters to pour out into the streets and jubilate over the results of the 2020 polls.

The NDC had earlier raised concerns about what it says is an “unprecedented delay” in the arrival of certified election results from the Regional Collation Centres to the National Collation Centre in an attempt to rig the election for President John Dramani Mahama
