It's Becoming Unbecoming; Bring Your 'Boys' To Order Now! - Charles Owusu Rebukes Mahama

Head of Operations of the Forestry Commission, Charles Owusu has asked defeated NDC Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama to bring his ''boys'' to order.

Charles Owusu made this comment while discussing an incident which happened at the NDC headquarters.

A delegation from the National Peace Council led by their Chairman, Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi came under attacks at the NDC headquarters in Accra during their visit to have a tête-à-tête with the party and Mr. Mahama regarding the 2020 election results.

Mr. Mahama has fiercely contested the veracity of the results claiming the results are flawed.

The Peace Council couldn't get access to the NDC premises as they were met by an irate NDC youth gathered at the forecourt of the party’s headquarters who hurled stones and other dangerous objects at them, and fired gunshots to prevent them.

The Chairman of Council confirmed the attack stressing they were physically manhandled and their vehicles damaged.

“We were met with serious hostilities and violence at the NDC headquarters. As I speak now, board members who were part of the delegation are psychologically traumatized," a myjoyonline publication quoted.

Broaching the issue on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', Charles Owusu condemned the incident and blamed Mr. Mahama for failing to exercise his authority as leader of the party, ensuring his supporters do not resort to violence.

He called on Mr. Mahama not to sit aloof and allow his supporters to misbehave saying, "Mr. Mahama, I know you have heard it. Take steps to bring your boys to order because it won't bring you dignity. Ghanaians have honoured you to climb the zenith of greatness and that is the highest honor we could give to a person. If you lose elections, it doesn't mean the country should end in destruction and should the country be destroyed, it will affect you," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
