Bechem United Stuns Inter Allies At Home

Bechem United stunned home side Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday in Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The Hunters thus recorded their first win against Inter Allies in an away duel after six attempts by ensuring a 2-1 victory over the Accra-based side.

Allies came into the game with two changes to the squad that lost 1-0 to King Faisal Babes last week in Techiman.

Richmond Lamptey returned from injury to replace Alex Aso in the starting lineup whilst Patrick Armah also took the place of Richard Acquaah in defence.

Bechem United coach Kwaku Danso on the other hand made three changes to the team that held Aduana Stars to a scoreless stalemate in Dormaa.

Prince Asempa replaced Daniel Afadzwu in post. While, Emmanuel Asante came in for Boubacar Sidiki Doumbia.

Captain Salifu Moro opened the scoring for the visitors from the spot just six minutes after recess, whilst Allies pulled parity few minutes later through defender Paul Abanga also scored from the spot.

Striker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni recorded his second goal in the league, in the 83rd minute of the game and the away side held on to it till the close of the game.

Bechem United have now gone four matches unbeaten with that vital away victory having managed two wins and two draws so far in the season.
