Life Is Precious; Don’t Sacrifice It for Anyone – Mame Yaa Aboagye To NDC Protestors

Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye has advised supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) causing mayhem in the country to cherish their lives and desist from their unconstitutional protests.

Persons believed to be supporters of the NDC clashed with Police at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) following a protest over what they described as a “stolen verdict” for President Akufo-Addo.

The NDC have, since the declaration of the results for the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, been staging demonstrations at the premises of the EC.

Mame wondered if Mr. Mahama and the NDC value the lives of their supporters asking ''how can a whole leader of the biggest opposition party incite his own people to go on the street and demonstrate without using the appropriate channel?”

What is happening now is very unfortunate. How can a whole NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker, aid the demonstrators to go on the street without police permit? Even though protests and demonstrations are constitutional rights but think of the consequences. Meanwhile, the one you are fighting for, doesn't even know you exist. Yes! It is true we all have our political interest but it is wrong to incite the same people who voted for you to risk their lives for your political selfishness.  It is very wrong…The earlier he (Mahama) comes out to condemn it, the better for him because we cannot lose innocent souls for his selfish ambition…Life is precious. Don't sacrifice for anyone; Let's value it'', she fumed.

She further called on the Peace Council, Chiefs, Imams, Pastors and all well-meaning Ghanaians to bodily condemn these unpatriotic acts from the NDC.
