I'm Grateful To My Fans & Ghanaians - Stonebwoy Says After Topping 2020 Boomplay List

Multi-awarded dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has expressed his profound gratitude to all his music fans and Ghanaians for staying loyal to his music.

African music streaming service, Boomplay has released list of most-streamed artistes on its platform for the year 2020 and Stonebwoy is leading the Most Streamed Male Artistes.

The Top Skanka tops the list for the third time consecutively.

He first took the spot in 2018 and topped again in 2019.

In an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM's ''Entertainment Review'', Stonebwoy ascribed his success to hard work and love and support from his fans.

"I'm grateful because when I work, I hope that I put in my best and whatever the outcome be, I will take it from there and improve upon it . . . It means we work hard. So, I will only thank all of my fans and everybody who has been on such platforms and who has always logged in to my [you know] and promoted, and also supported. So, this is a win-win for everybody who has been supporting my movement and let's say Ghana music [you know] as a whole," he said.

Musicians Sarkodie and Shatta Wale also came in second and third positions respectively on Boomplay.

In the female artistes category, Wendy Shay took the first spot, followed by gospel singers Joyce Blessing and Diana Hamilton who also came in second and third.
