Mask Up; The COVID-19 Fight Is Our Collective Responsibility – Mame Yaa To Ghanaians

NPP Deputy Communications Director, Mame Yaa Aboagye has advised Ghanaians to mask up to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

According to her, the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic is a collective responsibility.

Her comment comes following the upsurge in the active cases of the virus in the country.

The latest update on the disease, provided by the country's health management body, shows a rise in the cases to 58,431 as of Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

This follows the confirmation of 366 new infections across the country in the last few days.

Mame Yaa Aboagye pleaded with the citizenry not to let their guard down.

We are all at risk in one way or the other. We all have a duty to protect ourselves and dear ones. Thus, it is our collective responsibility to mask-up and observe the needed safety protocols to save ourselves and family members...Covid-19 is real but we will be safe if you and I protect ourselves and mask up.”

She added; “I will plead with everybody to comply with the Covid-19 protocols and observe them by wearing your face mask, washing your hands regularly and eating a well balanced diet to boost your immune system. Let’s get back to the drawing board by strictly complying with the measures we used to endure during the lockdown period to help minimize or make the infection rate go down.”
