Any Rational Person Can See NDC Has A Weak Petition Before Supreme Court - Mame Yaa Aboagye

The Presidential candidate of the largest opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama is at the Supreme Court challenging the validity of the 2020 Presidential result.

Mr. Mahama has had two of his key witnesses – Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC, and Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, who served as an observation agent of the party – appear before the court to give evidence and get cross-examined.

Yet the lead Counsel, Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata says a witness on their side, relevant to the proceedings in court is suffering from some health complications.

Among many who are following the court case with keen interest is the Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye.

She wonders if there is any other witness apart from their star witnesses Asiedu Nketia and Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte.

According to her, before the proceedings, the NDC was clear with its presentation of evidence to win the case, saying, "NDC was bragging about some strange evidence they will use to prove to Ghanaians that the election was rigged”.

“But it seems the narrative of their brags has changed. This shows that there is one thing going to court and another thing proving to win a case. I can see the NDC sweating to prove all their allegations against the Electoral Commission, because prior to this Mr. Nketia said the evidence they have against EC will shock Ghanaians when they show it to court and yet they are still sweating to prove a point,” she said.

"I can see the opposition NDC only using Trump tactics, thus no evidence, no witness just wasting everybody's time for nothing. The truth is NDC has never had a case. They were only emotional about their loss, because a rational and objective person can see the case before the Supreme is weak,”  she added.
