Name And Shame MPs With COVID-19 If . . . – Majority Chief Whip Tells Speaker

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annoh-Dompreh wants the Speaker of Parliament to expose fellow MPs who have tested positive for coronavirus but refusing to isolate themselves.

According to him, their actions will not only harm others but tarnish the image of the August House.

“What they are doing is dangerous and must not be accepted. The speaker should name and shame them if that is what they want.”

“ . . Now the perception out there is that all parliamentarians are positive,” The majority Chief Whip said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie'.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has disclosed that 15 MPs and about 56 parliamentary staff had tested positive for coronavirus.

He had earlier threatened to expose MPs that had contracted the virus but were still attending to business in the House.

The Speaker also announced that the House will sit twice a week starting next week.
