Parts of Accra To Experience Power Cuts For Seven Days

Parts of Accra will from today, Thursday (11 February) experience power cuts, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced.

The planned blackouts, according to ECG, will enable a contractor to commence excavation works to interconnect the Pokuase Bulk Supply Point to the Kanda and Airport substations.

A statement signed by the power distributor listed the affected areas as Airport Residential Area, Mamobi, Accra Girls, ECG Roman Ridge District office, Kotobabi Polyclinic and Alajo.

The areas are expected to experience a six-hour daily power cut between 10 am and 4 pm for a period of seven days.
