Efficacy Of COVID-19 Vaccine Is Tried And Tested - Dr Adu Gyasi

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Dr. Dennis Adu Gyasi has admonished the conspirators who are speaking ill of the discovered vaccine to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

According to him, the myth and the deliberate attempt by some people to instigate fear in Ghanaians that the Covid-19 vaccine causes erectyle dysfunction and also meant to erase the black race from the world are not true.

“There is a deliberate plot out there to speak ill of the vaccines to scare people from taking it. If we don’t admonish against such conspiracy and encourage Ghanaians to go for the vaccine, it will not help all of us. We all have to advocate for that so that we can go back to our normal lives,” he cautioned.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Dr. Adu Gyasi indicated that the efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine is in no doubt as they have been tried and tested using the scientific standards and ethical approval processes accepted by the whole world.

He added that vaccines that meet the scientific standards and ethical approval processes have 95 percent efficacy that can help prevent any virus attack; thus, the Covid-19 vaccines have gone through various stages of acceptance by the whole world to work effectively.

“The efficacy of the vaccines has been experimental via the various phases to know the effect the vaccines have on people. We have been doing this for all the vaccines discovered in the past in the world . . . we have seen that the vaccine efficacy is around 95 percent,” he indicated.
