The Naysayers Have Been Put To Shame By Their Own Leader - Mame Yaa Blasts NDC Supporters Over Coronavirus Vaccine

The National Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Mame Yaa Aboagye has berated supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who politicized the arrival of the coronavirus vaccines in the country.

She described them as "naysayers" who wish nothing good for their country.

Her comments come after former President John Dramani Mahama took his vaccine jab.

Mr. Mahama took part in the vaccination exercise with his wife, Mrs. Lordina Mahama at the Police Hospital on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Prior to this development, a section of the Ghanaian populace, notably NDC sympathizers, politicized the coronavirus vaccines.

While some expressed reservations about its efficacy, others said the vaccine had been created to wipe out Africa, among other baseless conspiracy theories.

Mame Yaa Aboagye commended Mr. Mahama for setting a good example for the doubting NDC supporters.

"Thank you Mr. Mahama for your acceptance to take the vaccine...This decision will go a long way to save many in this country. I believe your supporters who played politics with the vaccine will swallow their pride and emulate your good example."

Mame Yaa received the first shots of the vaccine and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for the opportunity.

She further advised the populace to continue observing the COVID-19 protocols even after taking the vaccine.
