GUPS Executive Pay A Courtesy Call On Life Patron Prof. Joshua Alabi

The Ghana Union Of Professional Students (GUPS) on Friday 26 March, paid a courtesy call on its life Patron Prof Joshua Alabi at his residence in Accra.

The GUPs delegation was led by its President Stephen Kwesi Acquah (aka Mayor Carlos) Prof. Joshua Alabi who was the former Vice Chancellor of UPSA helped to formally found GUPS about 10 years ago.

The visit therefore was also to introduce the executive to him and seek his wise counsel. These are part of measures to reorganise GUPS.

The elated Prof. Joshua Alabi expressed his excitement saying the visit was an "honour" by a student group that has taken time to look for him after a decade of his putting together the once enviable Union.

In his congratulatory message, Prof. Alabi recounted his days as the Vice Chancellor of UPSA when he made sure he sat with the student leadership to decide on which student they should present from UPSA to win the GUPS Election and that of NUGS.

_"Make sure you lead the students' front rather than using your political affiliations to break the students front"..._ Prof. Alabi advised.

In appreciation, Stephen Kwesi Acquah, GUPS President assured LIFE PATRON Alabi that the current leadership of GUPS will deliver effective results to their members.

The GUPS Executives used the occasion to formally invite Prof. Joshua Alabi to the upcoming GUPS ALUMNI DINNER slated for 2nd April, 2021. Prof. Alabi accepted the invitation and assured of his presence.

Other GUPS executive members at the meeting were the Treasurer, Nana ofosu, and Press & information Secretary
