We Thank You For Appointing Ahiagbah As Dep. Communication Minister - Aflao Residents Laud Prez

Residents of Aflao in the Ketu South District in the Volta Region have expressed profound gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the nomination of their son into the highest office as a Deputy Minister of Communication.

According to them, Richard Ahiagbah’s nomination is an indication of the confidence the President has reposed in him based on hard work to occupy such a high-profile office.

The Aflao residents also assured the President and his government of their full support for Richard Ahiagbah to excel and perform.

They also congratulated him on his nomination and reassured him of their support to enable him live up to his expectation.

Richard Ahiagbah, until his nomination as Deputy Communication Minister, was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Danquah Institute.

Profile of Hon. Richard Ahiagbah

Mr. Richard Ahiagbah comes from Aflao, in the Ketu South District in the Volta Region.

He has engaged in politics at the highest levels in the NPP abroad. He is a conviction patriot, who believes the liberal-conservative worldview of the NPP is the best vehicle for Ghana’s accelerated growth and development.

As a member affiliated with the Chicago Chapter and the larger NPP-USA Branch, Richard has played significant roles for the party.

In his roles as the Communication Director of the Chicago Chapter and a member of NPP-USA Communication team, Richard appears regularly as a panelist on radio  and TV talk shows for the party.

In addition, Richard also publishes articles to advance or defend the government and party interests. He is a key member of NPP-USA’s Rapid Response Team, created to rejoin, defend or promote the party and government programs.

At present, Richard is leading a three-member committee to develop a strategic plan for the NPP-USA communication team.

In addition to his participation in team efforts, Richard created a website in 2014 devoted to promoting the electoral goals of the NPP. All the articles he published and boosted on his website were also submitted and carried on leading Ghanaian online and print media for broader reach.

In the 2016 elections, Richard served as the Diasporan Mobilization Coordinator, an effort designed to augment the party’s 2016 election monitoring capacity. The mobilization effort by the external branches of the NPP has been described widely as an essential factor in the 2016 triumph.

In 2012, Richard got the consultancy firm he worked for in the USA, to agree to send a small team of field campaign organizers from the USA to support the NPP.

While abroad, Richard maintains close relations with party members in Ghana and supports grassroots activist groups in service to the party.

And each time he is in Ghana, he campaign and interacts with members of his resident constituency, Kpone Katamanso, Ketu South and other constituencies in the country.

Richard served and continued to serve the party financially.

In 2012, he participated in a fundraising with Vice President Bawumia in Alexandria, Virginia. In 2016, he supported and led many fundraising efforts to enable the Chicago Chapter to fund its adopted constituency (Asutifi South).

Richard is an active participant in US politics; a vital experience which he has brought to bear on his service to the NPP. He has worked on several US Presidential, Congressional and State campaigns.
