Gov’t Shouldn’t Sit Unconcerned Over NLA And Private Lotto Operators’ Brouhaha - Abronye DC

The Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC has appealed to the government to find a lasting solution to the issues between Private Lottery Operators and National Lottery Authority (NLA).

According to Abronye, the unresolved issues are potential threat to the nation’s security.

Contributing to UTV’s “Adekye Nsroma”, Abronye iterated that the government should not sit down unconcerned as if all is well.

"I personally disagree with those who have the power to calm situations and have refused to do so.

“The Private Lotto Operators have accused some staff of NLA of demanding money from them. This is a pure corruption allegation which the government should not sit unconcerned. Even if the issues raised by the private operators are not true, the government should still listen to them and declare its position for peace to prevail. This issue is a national discourse and the government with immediate effect should step in to resolve the problem.”

Abronye stressed that the issue between the two entities might somehow affect the government if nothing is done about it.

He also suggested the government must set up an independent committee to launch investigations into the matter.
