Ghana Rugby Holds Successful Pre Level One Coaching-Officiating And Scouting Activities For The Hearing And Deaf In Kumasi

The Ghana Rugby Football Union has held a successful Training and Education program for coaches and officials in the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi.

The one-day program training course is a Pre Level One Coaching course, Officiating and talent identification justifies for future National players.

The course was not for the hearing but the deaf individuals as well with the union providing interpreters for the hearing impaired for equal opportunity.

The Pre Level One is an initial stage of the course which is done online to prepare volunteer coaches for both physical and theory aspect of the game of rugby – the World Rugby have updated their site for Training and Education and that’s why this initiative on board is to guide and assist participants to follow the right path.

The day started with some fitness exercise which was conducted by the course managers Ms. Rafatu Inusah, M.r Lovemore Kuzorera, and MR. Jeffery Chiwanda for speed, power, agility, and hand-eye coordination in order to scout the potential athletes to fit in the National program of Ghana Rugby.

At the training exercise, the demonstration of the concept of the game of rugby was displayed by some members of the Ghana Rugby Eagles team conducted by the Educator Ms. Rafatu Inusah.

The second aspect of the program continued after participants came back from a short break to started with the Pre Level 1 Coaching and Officiating course in the classroom.
