Emirates Presented With The “International Airline Brand Of The Year” Award At 2021 Ghana Business Standard Awards

Emirates Airline was awarded the “International Airline Brand of the Year” at the 2021 Ghana Business Standard Awards, for its award-winning service and innovations, high business standards, market competitiveness, and relentless focus on customer experience. The event held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on the 13th of August celebrates local and international organizations across multiple sectors who are industry leaders in their field and recognizes their achievements.

Additionally, in October 2020, Emirates was awarded ‘Outstanding Airline Company of the Year’, reflecting the airline’s focus on customer health and safety amid the pandemic, and meeting and exceeding customer expectations through innovative product and services.

Catherine Wesley, Emirates Country Manager for Ghana and Ivory Coast, said, “We are honoured to receive the International Airline Brand of the Year award by the Ghana Business Standard Award and to be recognized by industry leaders and the award committee for our efforts to bring value to our customers and the communities we serve. Offering an outstanding experience through our innovative products and services, is the cornerstone of our business. As an airline, we are driven by innovation to ensure we are always meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations. We will continue to work hard to help our customers always Fly Better on Emirates.”

As international borders reopen and travel restrictions ease, Emirates continues to expand its network safely and sustainably. The airline has resumed passenger services to over 120 destinations and by the end of July, it will have recovered close to 90% of its pre-pandemic network.

Since it safely resumed tourism activity in July, Dubai remains one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations, especially during the winter season. The city is open for international business and leisure visitors. From sun-soaked beaches and heritage activities to world class hospitality and leisure facilities, Dubai offers a variety of world-class experiences. It was one of the world's first cities to obtain Safe Travels stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) – which endorses Dubai's comprehensive and effective measures to ensure guest health and safety.

Keeping the health and wellbeing of its passengers as top priority, Emirates has introduced a comprehensive set of safety measures at every step of the customer journey. The airline has also recently introduced contactless technology and scaled up its digital verification capabilities to provide its customers even more opportunities to utilise the IATA Travel Pass this summer.
Emirates continues to lead the industry with innovative products and services that address traveller needs during a dynamic time. Recently, the airline took its customer care initiatives further with even more generous and flexible booking policies, an extension of its multi-risk insurance cover, and helping loyal customers retain their miles and tier status.
