Samuel Inkoom Turned Down Offer To Join Kotoko

Ghanaian defender Samuel Inkoom has revealed he turned down three offers to join Asante Kotoko last season due to financial reasons.

Inkoom, 32, is currently a free agent after leaving Georgian club Torpedo Kutaisi last month.

The full-back, who is capped 44 times by Ghana at senior level, has revealed to Accra-based Angel TV that he turned down three separate offers to join Kotoko last season.

“Nana Yaw Amponsah, the CEO of Kotoko, approached me to sign for Kotoko last season but I didn’t accept all the three offers he made. I didn’t accept because Kotoko was not financially stable,” he told Angel TV.

It is unknown whether Inkoom will rejoin the Porcupine Warriors this season as he is yet to commit himself to a deal abroad.
