"Create Huge Platforms For Us To Shine Internationally" - Stonebwoy Throws Challenge To Ghanaian Promoters

Ghana’s award-winning Afro-Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has expresses gratitude with a message, after his successful performance at the Yam Carnival over the weekend in London.

According to 1God, most event promoters in Europe, America, Asia and other parts of the world who have created huge platforms for African artists, are mostly Nigerians.

Citing the recently help Yam Carnival in London, which according to him was organized by Nigerians, no Ghanaian artist made it on the main stage of the Carnival but several Nigerian artists performed on the main stage because the event is organized by their countrymen.

“I believe that we all have our own struggles and our own vison but as a Ghanaian musician, we are actually trying so hard to keep that fire burning and keep representing which is not easy. I want to say thank you to all our Nigerians who are keeping the fire burning as well”.

“Most of these African international music platforms that we have access to globally, is by virtually of our Nigerian brothers. There are definitely other African brothers involved. So I’m just using this opportunity to share my gratitude”.

He has therefore challenged Ghanaian promoters and other African promoters based in Europe, America and other parts of the world to do more and create huge platforms like their Nigerian colleagues to project Ghanaian Music internationally.

“I’m looking forward and I’m throwing a challenge to all of our amazing international Ghana promoters who have being doing this from time, to also join the race, to also hold than mantle and also put it together. So that from across Africa, we can all shine. All the South African promoters, let’s do this, standing in for your people. All the East African, North Africans stand in for your people because we can leave everything out to only our Nigerian people to keep doing. It’s not easy”.

Stonebwoy and King Promise from Ghana performed on a session of the Carnival in London and not on the main stage. “London Yam Carnival was crazy! We fried the yam and we killed it on the shrine stage. There was no Ghanaian artiste on the main carnival stage”.
