The Director General of National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammi Awuku says NLA will soon clamp down on illegal lottery operators, popularly referred to as Banker to Banker.
He said this when the leadership of the Nigeria License Lottery Operators paid a working visit to NLA.
According to him, the Authority will serve proper notice on Monday to direct all illegal lotto operators to “come to the office for a proper licensing agreement from the head office.”
“We have been formidable in our system and, in the coming days, we are going to prosecute all illegal lotto operators without license…We will be going stronger on anybody operating without a license from the NLA to be prosecuted and we are serving an earlier notice effective today.”
He also served caution to those using their numbers outside Ghana to come to the Authority and have mutual agreement for the development of the game.
He however added that people will be given the opportunity to engage the Authority.
