'Do or Die' Comment: 'Warlord' Mahama Manipulating His Supporters - Kwamena Duncan Scolds Ex-Prez

Former Central Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has expressed disgust over former President John Mahama's "do or die" affair comments regarding the 2024 general elections.

The former President, who is currently on a "Thank You" tour, during an interview on Akina Radio in Techiman warned that nothing will jeopardize his ambition to be President of Ghana again.

Mr. Mahama said he and his party - the National Democratic Congress - have "learned our lessons from the 2020 election. The next elections will be won or lost at the polling station".

“If otherwise, it will be a do or die affair at the polling station. The right thing must be done. We will win our election at the polling station,” he exclaimed.

He further emphasized that his party won't wait to be rigged for them to go to the Supreme Court seeking redress.

“We will do everything to make sure the election is transparent and fair. We don’t want to cheat them, so they shouldn’t. We won’t wait for any Supreme Court, no!”, he accentuated.

Kwamena Duncan, in reply during Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', indicated that Mr. Mahama's comments make him cringe.

Finding the comments to be distasteful, Kwamena Duncan noted former President Mahama's comments don't shock him because, to him, he (Mahama) has been rehearsing it since he lost the 2020 Presidential elections.

He recounted the resistance Mr. Mahama mounted against the Electoral Commission declaring President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner in the elections, hence inciting his supporters to hit the streets in protest.

To Kwamena Duncan, Mr. Mahama has been exposed by his comments.

''Former President Mahama now is a warmonger, he is a warlord, he is a rebel leader . . . we saw the rehearsal. We saw it after the elections when he unleashed his vulnerable gullible supporters onto the streets," he asserted.

"President Mahama, what is he looking for?'' he further questioned.
