Takoradi 'Fake' Pregnancy: Cut W/R Minister Some Slack! - Yaw Buaben Asamoa

Yaw Buaben Asamoa, NPP Communications Director, has called on Ghanaians to cut the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, some slack.

The Western Regional Minister has been whipped by some Ghanaians after he came out to debunk claims by Josephine Panyin Mensah, a suspect in the recent fake pregnancy and kidnapping story.

Panyin Mensah, who went missing but found, had claimed she was nine months pregnant as at time she vanished from Takoradi, Western Region but returned without a child or showing baby bump leaving many people to wonder what actually happened to her.

Immediately after her claims were made public, the Regional Minister issued a counter-statement saying the woman's story is fake.

“From their preliminary investigations, NIB suspects that this whole story was fake and that the medical doctor who has even looked at her revealed she wasn’t pregnant. That is the immediate information that we have. The police are still with her,” he said.

Joining a panel on Peace FM's morning show ''Kokrokoo'', Buaben Asamoa opined that what the Minister did was in the right order.

According to him, ''there's no formula to governance. If he hadn't said anything, people would have also criticized him saying he's dumb and that he not saying anything means he's has a hand in the issue''.
