Seasoned Journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako is livid by the misconduct of the Members of Parliament with regard to the controversial e-levy.

Tension in the House on Monday, December 20, escalated into fisticuffs between the MPs as they threw punches at one another during proceedings.

With the Minority attempting to disrupt the First Deputy Speaker, Joseph Osei-Owusu, who was acting in the stead of Speaker Alban Bagbin, from handing over his seat to the Second Deputy Speaker which was aimed at providing him the opportunity to add up to the Majority numbers during the voting, the Majority was, on the other hand, acting as his shield leading to a brawl between both sides.

Similarly, in January this year before the formation of the 8th Parliament, some members violently misbehaved in Legislative House which saw the Tema West Member of Parliament, Carlos Ahenkorah plundering ballot papers in attempt to abscond but was met with fierce fight from the Minority members.

Another similar scene was captured on Wednesday, December 1, where some Minority members further attempted to pull the Speaker's seat, also resulting in a near-brawl.

Chronicling the events that have transpired in the August House since the inception of the 8th Parliament, Kweku Baako couldn't help but to spew venom on the Parliamentarians.

According to him, those sparking chaos in Parliament must be singled out and appropriate punitive actions taken against them.

Mr. Baako registered his displeasure with the MPs saying, "I'm worried. Yeah, I'm worried; I'm even angry that the incidents happening in Parliament is disturbing, particularly the 8th Parliament".

"It is very useful and it's a matter of principle that the specific individuals that showed misconduct in the August House of Parliament should be identified. They should be identified and the appropriate action taken against them within the context of parliamentary standing orders as well as the national constitution and the laws of this country. Perhaps, I'm now convinced that that is the best way forward in curing this mischief, especially because of the repetition . . . I'm so disappointed. I'm so worried. I'm angry. I'm actually angry," he fumed.
