Stars Meet Musicians

On June 12, some of the countrys finest music artistes will clash with the Black Stars in a soccer fiesta to pursue a common agenda- raise funds in support of juvenile football in the country. Happenings from the camp of the organizers suggest that the musicians are expected to begin training at the Marcel Desailly Park at East Legon from June 6 to 11, 3pm each day. Preceding the charity game will be a curtain raiser involving the best select colts side from Tema and Accra. Musician-cum-footballer Asamoah Gyan and some of the artistes will perform before, during and after the game. Colts football, which has produced great players like Abedi Pele, Stephen Appiah, Laryea Kingson, Mathew Amoah, Ishmael Addo, Joe Addo and Ablade Kumah among others, has taken a nose dive in recent years. As a result, the organizers are putting together the charity game in a quest to restore the fortunes of juvenile soccer in the country.
