We Need To Rally Behind New Black Stars Management Committee And Technical Team- Kwesi Nyantakyi

Former Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi says the new Black Stars technical set-up and management team deserve a groundswell of support from all and sundry.

Early this week, the Kurt Okraku-led administration responded to Ghana's washed out 2021 Africa Cup of Nations by shaking up the coaching department.

Serbian Milovan Rajevac was fired shortly after the team's first round elimination and ex-international Otto Addo has been appointed as stop-gap for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria.

The current Borussia Dortmund assistant is being flanked by assistants Mas-Ud Dramani and George Boateng.

Chris Hughton has also been contracted for the two matches as technical advisor.

Ghana FA vice president Mark Addo takes over Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee.

Other members are Kwasi Agyemang – Vice Chairman, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Kwame Ofosu Bamfo, former Ghana Captain Stephen Appiah, Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd.) and Alhaji Karim Grusah.

''We just reconstituted a new technical team and a new management committee. If each and every one of us was asked to suggest who should be on the technical team or management team, I'm sure we will have different people being on it,'' Nyantakyi said when he appeared GTV Sports Plus.

''But the people who have the power, the prerogative to do the appointment, have done the appointment rightly or wrongly.

''At this time, as citizens of our country, it behooves all of us to rally behind them, spiritually, morally- whatever we can do support this team.''
