Hearts Of Oak Fans Accused Of Frustrating Richard Kingson

Hearts of Oak fans have been accused of of trying to frustrate goalkeeper Richard Kingson to quit the Ghana national team to enable Sammy Adjei takeover the No.1 spot. The ex-Blackpool shot-stopper issued a threat to retire from playing for the Black Stars this week after an angry clash with a fan. Kingson, Ghana�s safest pair of hands, has been in the first choice position since 2006 which has denied Hearts keeper Adjei from a getting a shot at the position. Things got to a head this week when suspected Hearts fans jeered Kingson during the Black Stars training while Adjei was praised at every move. An abusive fans subsequently issued a foul-mouthed attack on Kingson before he threatened to quit the post. But close friends of the goalkeeper have told GHANAsoccernet.com sone unruly Hearts fans are behind the barrage of abuse Kingson has been subjected to. �We know that it is some Hearts fans who come to the stadium just to insults and abuse Kingson but he is focused on the job ahead,� Kingson�s friend said on condition of anonymity. �They know Kingson played for Olympics and won�t accept the fact he is getting the first place in the team. �Now that he knows their motives he will not respond to their abuse.� Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics are fierce city rivals. Kingson is expected to start during Friday�s game against Congo.
