I'm Sad Our Neigbouring Countries Still Have Their Borders Closed - Nana Akomea

STC Boss, Nana Akomea has raised concerns about the closure of borders in Ghana's neighbouring countries.

As Ghana has opened her land borders to foster trade, her neighbouring countries, primarily Togo and La Cote d'Ivoire, haven't yet opened their borders; according to sources.

President Nana Akufo-Addo announced the opening of the land borders in his latest update on COVID-19 as he lifted the Coronavirus restrictions and was optimistic the move will help inject capital in order to boost economic growth.

Speaking on Peace FM's morning show ''Kokrokoo'', Nana Akomea was worried that the neighbouring countries still have their borders closed as it's affecting local businesses, particularly transport business like the State Transport Corporation he runs.

He wondered why ECOWAS cannot come into a consensus to have its members open their borders.

''I'm sad that they all couldn't come to a consensus as ECOWAS, especially with our President being the Chairman of ECOWAS'', he said.
