Majid Sacked In France... Over Bad Shoes

Suave actor Majid Michel was sacked from the red carpet being used by celebrities and VIPs at the 64th annual Cannes Film Festival in France last month because he was not wearing the right type of shoes, News-One has gathered. It was a very long red carpet and when Majid hit the run way, he was very happy walking with a spring in his steps when suddenly the guys from security and protocol signaled him to come over. He initially thought it was for an autograph or something but his face changed when they informed him that he had been given five minutes to either leave the red carpet or go change his shoes. He was dressed in a pair, of jeans, and a jacket on top but was wearing a pair of sneakers it was both funny and a bit embarrassing but eventually he had to get off the carpet and quickly buy a pair of new shoes from a Lebanese guy who was selling some cheap executive shoes not far away, a News One source who attended the Cannes Film Festival narrated. Two other Ghanaian big names who were also in attendance confirmed the report to News-One and revealed that after purchasing the new shoes for 5, he had no where to put his old shoes so had to leave them with the Lebanese guy. He did not go for them after the event. It is common knowledge that unlike foreign celebrities who actually employ people to manage their wardrobe, Ghanaian celebrities care less about how they dress, what they wear, how muc it cost and from which shop it was bought. Majid was among the Ghanaian delegation, including John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari, Fred Nuamah, Yvonne Okoro, Juliet Ibrahim, Abdul Salam and others, at the film festival for the first time. The trip to Cannes was put together by organizers of Ghana Movie Awards (GMA) and sponsored by Lufthansa. It was basically for recipients of awards at last years GMA to observe, learn and establish new contacts at the film festival which his rated as one of the biggest festivals on earth. News One
