I'll Return Once Everything With My Son Is "Sorted Out" - Adwoa Safo

"I have been doing a lot to support my children which I’m required to do by law and as you know here in the foreign land, I have to comply with whatever I am directed to do and until all that is sorted out, I have to do what I have to do and then I will return to my duties as a member of parliament and as a minister of state,” says Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

In an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse on Thursday, the Gender Minister who has been severely criticized especially by her colleagues in Parliament and in the New Patriotic Party for her absence says she has not abandoned her duties.

"I will be returning definitely to serve my people… As you know, my son is unwell and has to transition to school, so I have to ensure that all that is settled before I can resume my duties and that is exactly what I am doing.

Definitely, I will return. As you know my son has been unwell that is why I have to come here to the United States to be the best mother I could be and I’m still here making sure that all that is settled with my son and all the authorities and the school and it’s still ongoing…" she added.
