2024 Election: "I Don't Believe There's Any '8' To Break" - Nana Akomea

Managing Director of the State Transport Corporation (STC) and a former Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea don't believe in the party's agenda to break the '8'.

The ruling party intends to set a new record by handing over to itself in 2025 with an agenda to break the '8'.

However, Nana Akomea speaking on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' says every election has its own dynamics and that victory will depend on achievements and promises fulfilled.

" . . we are all aware of 'Breaking the 8' agenda, meaning that there's something special about this election, but I don't believe there's any 8 to break. I believe every election is different. Previously, if you were not called John you can't be President of this nation but in the 2016 election, the story changed," he said.

Meanwhile, he says the fact that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the Vice President doesn't mean he will automatically become the running mate of the party.

Many political pundits are predicting Dr Bawumia as a possible flagbearer of the party and Alan Kyerematen as running mate.

However, Nana Akomea says all will depend on discussions held and understanding between all parties involved.
