Do Not Rely On "Apor" To Write WASSCE - Director

Mrs Catherine Biney, the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal (EKMA) Director of Education, has advised final year students not to rely on leaked examination questions popularly known as "apor" as they prepare for their final certificate examinations.

She said: "Yours is to learn, come to school regularly and put up very good behaviour throughout the last days of your stay in school...Form study groups and discuss problems...The "Apor" you are waiting for, must be your earnest preparation to conquer any question that will appear on the exam paper."

The EKMA Director of Education was speaking to the final year students of the Takoradi Senior High School (TADISCO), during an induction ceremony to formally admit them to the old students’ association.

The old students are known as Tadolsans with a tagline, "Seek the Best".

She noted that success was not achieved on a silver platter but through determination and hard work.

Mrs Biney described TADISCO as a great institution, which had trained Journalists, lawyers, diplomats, business moguls and people of high repute in society, adding, "this must spur you for higher heights."

Later, Mr Fiifi Buckman, lawyer and old students administered the oath of allegiance to the students and encouraged them to have clean records in the school as their future endeavours and successes had direct bearings on the academic and moral records that they might leave behind.

The occasion was also used by the 1993 Year Group to donate sports jerseys, footballs and other sporting materials to the school.
