Agenda 111 Is Not Possible - Sefa Kayi, Dr. Otchere Ankrah Tell President

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's "Agenda 111" aimed at constructing 111 Regional and district hospitals across the country has resurfaced in a discussion during Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".

The Thursday panel comprising the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah; Governance Lecturer at the Central University, Dr. Benjamin Otchere Ankrah and the Dean of Linguistics at the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum were locked in an argument over the feasibility of the project.

The Regional Minister was confident that the project will be constructed within the time frame of 18 months as promised by the President but the panelists and host of the programme, Kwami Sefa Kayi shared contrary views.

Dr. Benjamin Otchere emphatically stated "it is not feasible" for the government to construct the 111 hospitals but the Minister held the President will fulfil his promise.

The Minister's assurance also invited a reply from Mr. Sefa Kayi who asked "how possible?", and continued that "politically, it's possible but in reality, it is not possible!"
