Encourage Your Wards To Value Technical Education - Nickseth Construction Ltd. Chair Urges Parents

Technical education is seen as the bedrock of every nation as it goes a long way to unleashing the human resource in the development of every nation.

Parents over the years have preferred their wards to choose secondary education over technical and vocation with many believing only dull pupils study technical and vocational skills.

It is for this reason that the Board Chairman for Nickseth Concrete and Construction, Dr. Godfred Owusu-Boateng has advised parents to encourage their wards to consider technology-oriented education when choosing their school courses.

Dr. Godfred Owusu-Boateng, giving a speech at the commissioning of Nickseth Concrete Plant at the Apolonial Industrial Park in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality, said "the long-standing negative thinking about technical education in Ghana has also contributed hugely to the country's unemployment rate" but stressed if more technical-minded people are trained, "it will help us find solution to our numerous challenges".

The Board Chairman, Dr. Godfred Owusu-Boateng, after delivering his advice, also urged management and workers to be focused on making the company outstanding in the sub-region.

The Managing Director of Nickseth Concrete And Construction Limited, Mr. Nicholas Frimpong Boateng also said the enormous successes of the company over the years are attributed largely to the inclusion of professionals such as businessmen, architects, engineers, surveyors among others, all of whom bring their entrepreneurial qualities on board.

He further said the company’s innovational ability coupled with its swiftness in adapting to changing situations has contributed immensely to its growing fortunes.

"It is therefore not surprising that the company’s image has been steadily enhanced over this short period of existence."
