Govt's "Egregrious" and "Outlandish" Decision Makes Aisha Huang Think "We're a Nation of Jokers" - Inusah Fuseini

Former NDC MP for Tamale Central, Inusah Abdulai Bistav Fuseini says he is shocked 'galamsey kingpin', Aisha Huang is still operating in Ghana with a different identity.

According to him, the Chinese national's earlier arrest and deportation without trial has given her another impression of Ghana.

"I've already said that Aisha Huang herself thinks that we are a nation of jokers, that she can use money to buy justice . . . the fact that we made her go and planted that thing in her mind that she can always have her way made her come back . . ." he told NEAT FM’s morning show host Kwasi Aboagye on 'Ghana Montie' programme.

" . . the statement by Osafo Marfo and the decision to let Aisha Huang go (deport her) was egregrious . . . you needed to demonstrate not only to Ghanaians that you would not tolerate illegal small scale mining, you needed to send a clear picture to foreigners that you will be dealt with in accordance with the law, and to have waived in taking that decision, that has made the fight against small scale mining difficult. That decision was bad, it was outlandish . . . and later, subsequently the President said the desicion was wrong, now he has got an opportunity to set that decision on the right path, the President should be interested in the case," Inusah Fuseini said.

The galamsey kingpin, Aisha Huang is reported to have evaded immigration authorities and re-entered Ghana to conduct illegal business despite her controversial deportation in 2018.

Reports revealed that Aisha Huang despite last leaving by air, returned to Ghana via the eastern land border, Togo.

Whilst the report is silent on when she first re-entered and how many times she has been in and out of the jurisdiction, it turned out that she also used a different name on her return.

This was established with evidence that upon her return, Huang applied for and obtained the Ghana Card in February 2022 using the name "Huang En."
