CIMAF Cement Ghana Donates To Efutu SHTS And Jukwa SHS

CIMAF Cement Ghana has donated Bags of Cement to two Senior High Schools in the Central region. The beneficiary schools are Efutu Secondary Technical School and Jukwa Secondary School.

Presenting the Cement to these schools, the Director of Sales and Marketing for CIMAF Cement, Mr. Joseph Kobina Aboo called for more support for educational and Health institutions in the country.

He entreated business owners not to take all profits they make in the country to themselves but rather support the Education and Health sectors of the country to reduce the pressure on government as government alone cannot be seen as the agent of development.

Receiving the donation for the Efutu Senior High Technical School, the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Welmina Arsenal  Coleman revealed that, the school authorities are forced to convert  classrooms to dormitory due to an abandoned 15 year old uncompleted dormitory block.

She revealed that in 2007, Former President John Agyekum Kufour started a boys Dormitory Block which was expected to hoise some 500 students but the project has been abandoned since the time.

The current boys dormitory has become a death trap since it is over 25 years old and because of that, they are forced to convert some classrooms into dormitories.

Mrs. Welmina Colman appealed to the government to look for the contractor to come and complete the abandoned 15 year old boys dormitory and also appealed to Organizations to come to their aid with additional boys and girls dormitory.

She, however, expressed appreciation to CIMAF for the donation, adding that it will go a long way to help the school’s accommodation drive.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Jukwa SHS, headmistress of the school, Mrs. Dorothy Mensah also said that, the school is in need of a Science and Visuals Art Laboratories, Technical and Home Economics Workshop.

She, therefore, appealed to other companies and well-meaning Ghanaians to come to the aid of the school.
