Love Revolution Conference Takes off in Accra today

Thousands of Christians are expected to take part in what is anticipated to be one of the largest non-denominational Christian gatherings in Ghana. The maiden edition of the Love Revolution Conference takes off on Wednesday, June 8 in Accra at the Dome of the Accra International Conference. The Programme, organized by Eastwood Anaba Ministries seeks to bring together Christians from all walks of life to fellowship without walls and celebrate the agape love of God. The convener of the conference, Rev. Eastwood Anaba, who is also the founder and President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries says the conference is meant to stir the love of God among individuals, families, churches and Ghanaians in general. He believes the time has come for the body of Christ to change its focus and concentrate on Love, which is the single element that drove Jesus to come and die for mankind. When I consider the rate at which love is being removed from the church and society as a whole, I have a feeling that we need a love revolutionWe must change our priorities in the Body of Christ. The pursuit of success, prosperity and breakthroughs should not drive us to betray one another just to achieve our goals. It is time for radical heart searching. He said. It is for this and several other reasons that the Eastwood Anaba Ministries has put together this conference to bring people to the realization that Love conquers all. Speakers for the three day event include Rev. Eastwood Anaba himself, Dr. Mensa Otabil of the International Central Gospel Church, Bishop James Saah, of the Christian Action Faith Ministries and Rev. Mrs Rosemond Anaba, wife of Rev Eastwood Anaba and Vice President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries. The power packed programme will also feature Ghanas evergreen gospel trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Pastor Josh Laryea, Wilie and Mike and a non-denominational mass choir called the Love Revolution Choir. Already patrons of the programme have arrived in Accra from various parts of the country and beyond while those in the capital are also making feverish preparation towards it. Some travelled in buses arranged by their local churches and groups while others travelled several miles from the UK and other parts of the world to be part of the Love Revolution Conference. Attendance is absolutely free and its opened to anybody who desires to have a complete transformation of their love through the application of that single element called Love. Rev. Eastwood is worried about the divisions in the body of Christ and says this programme, among other things is meant to offer Christians and Children of God from all walks of life an opportunity to fellowship without walls and stir up the spirit of unity among Churches, families and Christians in general. We cannot continue to divide the body of Christ with doctrines and attitudes that are aimed at making us happy and fulfilled at the expense of everybody else. Churches are splitting all around us. Families are plagued with suspicion and mistrust. Children find more solace in the arms of strange friends and thugs than in the homes of their own parents. The greatest of all virtues is love. He said. The Love Revolution Conference ends on Friday, June 10, 2010.
