Consul General Hon. Daniel Kingsley Atta Boafo has pledged his unflinching support to Ghanaians in New York and has thus cautioned them to be law abiding citizens.
Speaking at the heroes night awards organized by Adinkra Multimedia New York, he added that as a representative of the government of Ghana, he was ever ready to assist Ghanaians who will fall foul with the law.
But, you should try as much as possible to stay and work within the remit of the law and not do anything that will drag Ghana's name in the mud, he added.
Dignitaries from all walks of life graced Adinkra Multimedia New York “Heroes Night, Excellence Award” which took place at the Grand Roosevelt Ballroom, 2ND HUDSON STREET, Yonkers NY, on the 26th November, 2022.
This is the first ever award organized to reorganize and celebrate Ghanaians impacting and improving lives in New York according to award winners.
The CEO of Adinkra Multimedia New York, Mr Patricjk Adofo (Djgem) noted that the award is here to stay and that he looks forward to more years to come.
Some of the awardees included, Gold Coast Foundation which won 2022 Medical Practitioner of the Year Award as the Ghanaian Health Care Workers Association for their continuous support to the community, Mad. Hagan Bortey Ansah won the Heroes Humanitarian Queen Award 2022, Jennifer Cudjoe the only Ghanaian female soccer player that plays in the American League won the Young Achievers Award 2022, Kwahuman won the Most Vibrant Association in New York 2022, Charles Kwame Asumeng -City Research Scientist at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene was also Honored.
The dinner night also saw some splendid and spectacular performances from Ghanaian music legends like hip-life legend Kwabena Kwabena, reggae dance hall artiste Raskuku, Prince Bright from Bukbak fame, 2 Shy in New York among others.
Abigail Ashley of Despite Media and Vincent Jerry Ogee of Adinkra Multimedia NY hosted the night.
