Northern Region Rugby Association Holds Annual General Meeting

The Northern Region Rugby Association held its Annual General Meeting in at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale on Saturday, 28 January 2023.

The meeting had in attendance the President of the association Ms Rafatu Inusah Board Member of Ghana Rugby Football Union, the head coach of GRFU Mr Lovemore Kuzorera, the Regional Director of the National Sports Authority Madam Salamatu Alhassan and board members of the association.

The President in her opening remarks acknowledged the presence of all participants and outlined some of the achievements of the association despite the difficulties in 2023.

In her subsequent delivery after unveiling the 4 registered clubs, Northern lions RC, Tamale Warriors RC, Rocks RC and Dapkema RC. she indicated how satisfied she was and hopeful that all clubs will participate in the GRCC competition when it starts.

The head Coach of Northern Rugby Mr Ephraim presented the financial report and plans/activities for the year. He spoke about the lack of support/sponsorship as the only support comes from the president Ms Rafatu Inusah. He also thanked her for exhibiting the characteristics of a true leader and always being available whenever she is called upon.

The head coach of the National team Mr. Lovemore Kuzorera encouraged the teams to focus much on their clubs by getting all categories of players from communities and schools.

The Regional Director of NSA Madam Salamatu charged the clubs to take their actions very seriously and well organized. She also assured them that NSA is ever ready to support them in everything they want to do if they approve the appropriate channels.
