Empire Builders/Top Kings Saga: Police Arrest Armed Landguards

The Accra Regional Police Command have swiftly arrested alleged armed landguards over a parcel of land at Adjiringanor, near East legon in Accra.

The security personnel acted on a tip off after a Peace FM news item on Wednesday evening.

The armed landguards announced their intention of preventing workers of Empire Builders from working on their legitimately acquired land at the said area.

Indications are that the Police moved in on the date the alleged landguards announced, and consequently effected the arrest.

The alleged landguards including an armed Military man are currently at the Police Regional Command assisting the Police with investigations.

The two real estate owners -Empire Builders and Top Kings have over two decades engaged in a legal tussle over some parcels of land at Adjiringanor.

Despite the Supreme Court ruling spelling out in clear terms who owns portions of the land, Top Kings after developing its 62 acres awarded them by the court into Kings Cottage, are still not satisfied with the ruling and keep using landguards to frustrate workers of Empire Builders.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that large catchers of weapon was recovered from the alleged landguards at the time of arrest.
