IFAB 2023: International Fabulous Women’s Conference To Take Place In Aboabo Kesse

In 2015, Ama Duncan, a young Ghanaian woman had an idea to hone her writing skills through writing and sharing stories about women. This idea developed into The Fabulous Woman Network (The FWN), an NGO which supports the growth of women leaders and women-led businesses with leadership and entrepreneurial skills development, coaching and networking opportunities.

Between their first Dinner with The Girls event in 2015 and now, they have organized multiple events for thousands of women and shared life-changing stories of over 400 fabulous women reaching over 10,000,000 people on social media. In 2019, they also created Fab Hub Ashanti - a residential training and event space in Kumasi.

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, the FWN is hosting the second edition of iFAB - International Fabulous Women’s Conference at Fab Hub Ashanti, Aboabo Kesse, from 3rd to 6th March 2023. iFAB connects growth-minded professionals and businesswomen with each other through sharing amazing individual life stories, learning together and networking in a fun way. It’s an opportunity to hear from fabulous women who have been through it all and learnt from their experiences.

‘The  objective is for participants to be enlightened by seasoned speakers, to step into their future through sharing, learning, networking, fun and giving back with the aim of being impacted’ says Ama Duncan

Last year, having participated in the event, I left with wonderful memories from a community of women committed to impacting positively whiles pushing me to do more.

And yes we gave back to the community. The women and people of Aboabo Kesse were treated to a wide range of medical specialities and talks on health needs and lifestyles. A medical station was brought to their doorsteps and we are doing the same this year.

As part of the activities lined up,  a Health Center built by the FWN with support from World Connect an international developmental NGO will be commissioned and handed over to the Aboabo Kesse community to help promote good health, address their health needs and complement the government’s efforts in attaining the Sustainable Development Goal 3.

Under the theme ‘DEAR WOMAN, BE WELL TO IMPACT”, iFAB 2023 will see women of all walks of life come together to champion the cause of women, especially in all dimensions of wellness as part of activities marking this year’s celebration.  And before you ask yes, there is an International Men’s Day, on November 19th

I am one of the speakers and will also participate fully in all activities of iFab. Are you coming?
